All of our instructors are nationally certified and are dedicated to teaching you how to dance in a simple, easy and fun way. Any dance you may use at a wedding, company party, in a nightclub, on a cruise, or other social events are taught here - from the Foxtrot, Waltz, and Tango, to the faster beats of the Swing, Salsa, and everything in between. If you are looking for a fun way to exercise and burn up some calories, dancing will enable you to do it to music and learn a valuable skill at the same time! We can teach anyone to be a social dancer, even if you think you have two left feet and no rhythm. No matter which dance or for whatever reason, we feel positive that you will not only have fun but also improve your dancing skills quickly and easily. Wedding Couples
At Fred Astaire, we know how important your first dance as husband and wife can be, and we can help you get ready for that special day. All you need to do is give us a call. Of course, there are some things that can help us make your first dance together a picture perfect experience. For example, if you have chosen the song you will be dancing to, bring it to your lesson. We’ll know what to work on, and you can see if you like the dance that matches the tune you picked. Allowing yourself enough time to learn, rather than waiting until the last minute, will increase your confidence on your special day. You will also have better dance knowledge to carry with you throughout your life together. Our Introductory offer of 3 lessons for only $60 is a great way to get started on your first dance. Social Dancing
Most students who come through our door simply want to be able to get out there and Dance!!! We’ve got the moves and the know how to make that happen, using our unique teaching method, which has been tried and true for over fifty years. We understand that you don’t want to watch other people dance when you go out to that wedding, or when you go on that cruise. Likewise, we don’t want you to sit there watching, because we know how much more fun it is to be the one dancing. Not only are we happy to be teaching dance, but we are excited to see the progress of each of our students as they become confident social dancers. As a social dancer you will enjoy the benefits that come along with dancing, like social poise, self-confidence, and a fun way to get some exercise. Couples can learn a new skill that they can carry with them throughout their life together, while sharing some quality time. In keeping with the national guidelines for competitive dancing, Fred Astaire offers a Dancesport syllabus. This series is designed for people who wish to take their dancing further than the boundaries of social dancing, or for those who simply just can’t get enough and wish to learn more intricately the art of dancing.
International
The international style of dance is offered for those who are interested, and is used in large part for advanced competition.

Formation Teams are a great way to do something fun and take part in our exciting studio community. Formation teams are groups of interested students who meet at the same time each week to produce a professionally choreographed routine. These routines are generally performed at one of our showcase balls, and may even be performed at a regional competition.
